Henrico County Public Schools is introducing a new staggered First Day schedule designed to make the transition to elementary school even smoother for our incoming KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS.
Monday, Aug. 24
First day for half of kindergarten students (Student Last Name Begins A-M)
First day for ALL students in grades 1–5
Tuesday, Aug. 25
First day for the second half of kindergarten students (Student Last Name Begins N-Z)
All students in grades 1–5
Wednesday, Aug. 26
All students attend
This staggered start allows our youngest learners time to become familiar with the building, routines and expectations before all students attend together.

• Attendance at meetings is optional! We meet monthly on Zoom, so you can stay informed and involved from the comfort of your home. If you cannot make a meeting or prefer not to attend, we will send updates in our monthly newsletter.
